In this project, we have developed a real time based system that analyzes real time traffic data from traffic control and CCTV video data and then suggests, based on traffic conditions, the best route(may be alternate route) between start and end location in a mobile device. Real time wireless data received from traffic police working at different location is entered into the traffic database server.
A web interface has been developed in this project for the purpose of real time data entry from Traffic control room. CCTV live video feeds are processed and analyzed to find real time traffic situations and congestion level at different locations. The result is stored to same database and the time delayed due to the calculated congestion level in each location is approximated. A mobile phone application has also been developed which extracts congestion information from database server and displays traffic jam information. This application also provides query options to users for finding the route between two locations and the best alternative route avoiding jams in between.
This system takes the reference of present real time traffic information and makes massive past data (collection and) analysis... to make the traffic prediction ((ahead of time)). And with those predicted value , pure new algorithm was developed to incorporate those predicted values. It was time dynamic algorithm.
